While some talk about their passions all day long, or are working in a field they are passionate about, others are hard pressed to even name one. Some people try to find what their passions are by dabbling in this or that, or they use more intricate strategies to find a passion. But passions are not difficult to uncover.
What attracts you? What do you enjoy spending time doing? When do you lose track of time? When you are engaged in something you are passionate about, time flies. You forget about time because you are truly connected to your inner self. You are enjoying life and living in the moment. Such an experience is a gift because most of us spend an inordinate amount of time taking care of our responsibilities or doing things for others. In fact, it is because passions are so desirable that people try to match their work to them. If you can earn a living by doing what you love, your life will be that much better.
Everyone comes into this incarnation with a unique blueprint, and so your passions may be different from the passions of others in your life. You may find that you love to carve little animals out of soap, or that you enjoy sailing or snorkeling where you can dance with the current of the ocean. You may find that climbing a mountain or collecting dolls or uncovering your roots or solving a mystery is something you enjoy. You may just revel in lying in the sun, drenched in lotion, while reading the latest bestseller. Whatever it is does not matter. That you uncover it can add pleasure to your life.
So, what is your passion? If you still do not know, that’s okay. Discovering what you are truly passionate about is part of the fun.
