As we have noted many times before, things change. Plans change. Awhile back we planned to create lists of resources on various metaphysical topics. We planned to blog more, blow up our Twitter account, and do outings to promote our first book, and a lot of it did not happen, but we were not holed up in our homes doing nothing, or just spending our days going through the motions.
Over the past two years we have been working on a novel, something we have never done before.
It started one summer day when we were out riding in Sandrine’s car with her now three year old who was a baby at the time and we were just trying to keep him busy so he wouldn’t fuss. And we had talked about it before—the novel. It was Rhonda’s dream but it was not something ever on Sandrine’s radar. And we got to talking about the possibility and we could not stop.
The ideas just flowed. They came from where all creative thought comes from…the universe. Duh! And once we said yes, we’ll do it, the characters began to come to life, and then they began to take on lives of their own.
It was not an easy process—the length of time it took, fact checking, proofreading, revising—but it was definitely a rewarding one. That’s the exciting part of creativity: making something from nothing.
So what do you want to share with the world? Do you want to create something new? All you have to do is set your intention for whatever inspires you. And then do the hard work, which will be easy once you find your passion and follow your inner guidance.
